HeadUp provides health self-management software, comprising holistic health interventions and software intended to be used by a patient in a non-clinical environment to provide health assessment information and/or health advice through an interactive platform. The software collects user information (demographics, lifestyle data, fitness data, and/or symptoms) and feedback information to indicate the general health/wellbeing across key chronic disease risk areas (mental health, cardiovascular, type 2 diabetes, musculoskeletal, etc.) and/or assists the user in deciding and signposting the best course of action if they are unwell (e.g., see a clinician, self-treatment for minor ailments).
The app enables users to sync their wearable device and receive evidence-based personalised insights into their health and ways to reduce their modifiable risk factors across key aspects of health, including mental health, heart / CVD, sleep, weight and physical activity. The app features an evidence -based traffic light system for rating overarching health risks and harnesses a range of machine learning models and other statistical techniques to serve up targeted content, interventions, and recommendations to help people better understand their health and make informed health decisions.
On the basis of validated questionnaires and exercises as well as their evaluation, the contents are individualized to the needs of the person concerned. In the interests of patient safety, a psychologist may be indicated to provide monitoring and exchange if necessary. The program is designed to reduce the symptomatology of the patient, increase the quality of life and restore the ability to work. Quick access to HeadUp’s online courses and app-based programs facilitate access to psychological care. Follow-up treatments can be avoided.
So far, no side effects have been observed. If you experience side effects in connection with the use of HeadUp, report them immediately to your doctor or psychotherapist or contact firstname.lastname@example.org
